Hechicera PM named 2004 PFHA High Point Horse of the Year!

Hechicera PM, owned by Bill Minter of Lexington, NC, Paul E. Mercer of McArthur, OH and Alan Dwayne Tilley of Winston Salem, NC, was awarded the 2004 Paso Fino Horse Association High Point Horse of the Year during the 2004 PFHA Grand National Championship Show, held at the Georgia Fairgrounds and Agricenter in Perry, GA, September 19 – 25.

Hechicera PM’s sire is the great Ponderosa Coloso, owned by Paul Mercer and managed by Bill Minter. The stallion stands at Minter’s Caballo de USA Paso Fino Horses in Lexington, NC.

"We certainly enjoyed showing Hechicera PM during the 2004 show season. Her performance in the show ring is a direct result from her sire, Ponderosa Coloso, who was Grand National Bella Forma Champion and multiple National Champion under saddle. His offspring are naturally gaited and intelligent, offering owners the opportunity to show these horses on a national level,” said Bill Minter. “Hechicera PM was one of the most naturally talented horses we have owned and shown. She has proven herself this year by winning 2 National Championships under saddle and 6th National Champion Bella Forma mare at our national show.  The 2004 High Point Horse was the icing on the cake."

The PFHA High Point Horse of the Year is the horse that accumulates the highest number of total points in all recognized classes at PFHA sanctioned shows during the course of the show year. Points from the Grand National Championship Show are not counted toward the high point award.
